Margidore beach

Start off at the car park in the Capo di Stella Hotel and walk along a path that is only 200 metres long, this will get you to the Margidore gulf; the tiny bay consists of tiny, dark coloured pebbles, and the stony seabed makes the water crystal clear and means you have the chance to see the rocks and fish in a completely natural environment.

There are several bathing establishments as well as bars, you can also hire a boat or motor boat, and there is also a landing wharf. Even in peak season the beach is very quiet so it is perfect if you want to go on a boat excursion or simply go swimming with your snorkel, mask and flippers.

Lacona beach

Lacona beach is about 1 km from the hotel, and along with the beach in Marina di Campo, they are the only two beaches on the island that are approximately 1 km long.

Today there are still some natural dunes with vegetation growing out of the sand on Lacona beach; this beach is perfect for families with small children because the water is shallow till quite far out, and there is a baker’s, a rotisserie, a bar, a restaurant as well as several pizzerias and ice-cream parlours on the beach.

There are also several bathing establishments, some of which the Hotel has an agreement with, and you can hire a boat , a dinghy, a pedalo and much more. Precisely because of the morphology of the beach, there are long parts that are free, and there is also a beautiful pine grove where you can eat, relax and cool down in the shade.

There is also a chemist’s, a cash line and a small grocer’s.
